Hi everybody, i hope that everyone had a really awesome Christmas and New Year. I got to spend a few days in Ohio and it was a really nice change of pace from Florida. But im back and with Resolutions stated i wont be too far away from this blog.

Heres a piece ive been working on over the break for our "meanwhile" comic which will be available at the Ringling booth at Megacon. See ya later.

Hey everybody long time no post things are busy busy, painting painting. Up top is an assignement i did for my illustration class from an article from the Onion. The article talked about how the writer wished that dinosaurs were still alive today so that we could use modern weapons to kill them. Drawing and painting Dinosaurs all daY !!!!!!!!

HEY!

Heres some thumbnails for some comics! The first one was actually from the movie script The African Queen. The second is from a short story where the man who created the atomic bomb goes back to his hometown. He goes there to try and get a hold of himself and ends up seeing a younger version of himself and follows this younger version back to his home where his parents are still alive. He then pleads with his father to get his son interested in ANYTHING but science.

Heres my astronaut which was an assignment for my Illustration class where we had to redo a cover to a book. The book i did had collected a bunch of really good short sci-fi stories that were

Hey everybody heres the inks for the Pirate women, im pretty happy with how the textures turned out but i still think there needs to be alot more tweaking. Such as the girls face on the bottom and also some other stuff that i want to fix on photoshop. Any suggestions??

Here is some of the stuff ive been working on the first is a tight line drawing for my childrens book class. Im working on a collection of short fables, tall tales and folklore and this one is for The Pirate Women! This was done for my illustration class as our "fashion" project.

This painting was from my figure painting class where our teacher gave us reference photos and we were to create a scene using those shots

Im trying painting out to see if its something i think i might look to pursue. Im conflicted right now between digital work and painting. I havent done really anything digitally yet but i gots a new Wacom Tablet and im gonna put it to use.

The Painting on of the ADBOT is an assignement from Thiel to do an advertisement of any product that we wanted so i picked adidas

The painting below that was a submission for Illest, When i was painting it the colors were alot different but later i found out that the paint dries darker.

This is a pen and ink and scratchboard assignement, im happy with them but they couldve been better. For the Pen and ink im not crazy about the lettering or how i handled the hatching throughout the piece but it was fun to work on. The scratchboard im pretty happy about except for the highlight on the nose is way to bright and the background isnt as smooth of a gradient but HEY i can still fix all of that when i find some time. If youve got some time tell me what you think.

Paolo Rivera is way to good at using Gouache, hes definitly one of my fav's right now.

Hey if any of you guys like comics and Green Lanterns i suggest you check out The Sinestro Corps Wars. Ethan Van Sciver did some amazing stuff in those issues and the story is pretty excellent too. This really only applies to people who stumble on this blog though.
